In John 6: 51 Jesus says, “I am the living bread which came down from heaven; if any one eats of this bread, he will live forever; and the bread which I shall give for the life of the world is my flesh.” Jesus gave himself for our life, and for our ongoing nourishment in the form of the Eucharist. It is through the Eucharist that we too, can receive the same living bread made present at the Last Supper.
