Sharing Your Witness – Sharing the Abundant Life (Part 2)

There is a blessing that comes forth when those who seek the Face of God share what they have been given.  This includes sharing your witness.  In this episode, Patti Brunner will give you pointers in preparing your witness and the benefits of Sharing the Abundant Life.  Stewardship is not a ‘to do’ that we accomplish then cross it off the list.  Its purpose is to connect us with Jesus.  When you grow in understanding, you begin to comprehend truth in ways that you never realized.  When your heart is moved by God’s love, it is an important moment in your life.  Whatever you say, speak from the heart.  Share truth; truth sets hearts free.  When a difficult time in your life is overcome by the mercy and grace of God, it can become a witness sharing point.  You can’t imagine the blessings that will flow as you recognize the presence of God in your life and then share that with others.

Continuing the series on the basics of the Catholic faith, this episode examines the use of statements of belief known as Creeds to keep us on track about the truth. Much of our faith is rather mystical such as ‘One God yet three persons of the Trinity’, and the truth of Jesus being ‘true God and true man’. The Creed specifically points out some of these doctrines that could not be known apart from divine Revelation to the Church. Patti Brunner goes through the main articles of Nicene Creed, to help you understand their basic profession.

One of the goals of the Truth of the Spirit podcasts is to remind you of the Spirit filled facets of our Christian faith, sometimes returning to the basics to allow you better access to teachings and actions of those inspired by the Holy Spirit. Please join Patti Brunner and Truth of the Spirit to explore Basics of Faith with the Basics to Reading the Bible for Catholics. The Church “forcefully and specially exhorts all the Christian faithful… to learn ‘the surpassing knowledge of Jesus Christ‘ (Phil 3:8) by frequent reading of the divine Scriptures” (Catechism #2653). Anybody can pick up a bible, open it, and start reading it. I want to explain to you how the bible is structured so you can understand how wonderful the bible is! The bible teaches us the ancestral history of Jesus true man. But it does more. It helps us to see that Jesus is true God. The Bible is a communication from God to Man. The entire bible is inspired by the Holy Spirit using human writers to record and share the truth.

 First of the series “Working Through the World’s Chaos to Find Supernatural Peace”.  What’s in your heart?  Supernatural peace?  Or chaos?  Too often we can get caught up in a negative attitude and complaining.  We want others to know about the half empty glass and accuse others of being the culprits of emptying it.  Anxiety causes chaos.  Anxiety and stress can make you physically sick.  Jesus tells us it can affect our spiritual well-being too.  St. Paul knows we can get our mind off our worries by counting and speaking our blessings and joys.
