David LeSieur and Patti Brunner in The Church’s New Year-Season of Foundations Year A.    The Catholic Church New Year began in December, liturgically speaking, and ties to the Hebraic New Year rather than the Christian Gregorian calendar.  The continuation of the early years of Christ—Epiphany, Baptism, and the feast of Mary remind of the foundation on which the Kingdom was built.  Truly, it seems like a gigantic task but the Lord works all things for good.

This is her Word from the Lord to share with you this season:  Pray!  Pray, pray.  This word has been given several times in history in times such as ours.  Truth of the Spirit encourages you pray for yourself and others so to give glory to God and serve your brothers and sisters in Christ. Be forgiving towards the mistakes and weakness and failings of those around you and of your own.  Jesus’ forgiveness is an example to follow.  “Father, forgive them; they know not what they do.” Pray! Ask God to lead them along the pathways of justice and righteousness.

Juanita Salazar Lamb describes the conversion of the indigenous Aztec natives before and after the supernatural gift of the Tilma of Juan Diego with the miraculous image Our Lady of Guadalupe on Truth of the Spirit with the episode Our Lady of Guadalupe Part 4 Conversions through the Sign of the Tilma. The Blessed Virgin Mary appeared in 1531 to an Aztec Christian peasant between December 9th and 12th and left behind a sign for all to see, even to this day. Included in this episode on Our Lady of Guadalupe will be Juanita Salazar Lamb’s personal testimony of her family’s special devotion to “La Virgen”.
