Welcome to Truth of the Spirit.  I am your host Patti Brunner.  This is Day 4 of our series “Daily Meditations for Lent – Lenten Logos, it’s the Saturday following Ash Wednesday.   Each day during Lent we will share personal revelation and meditation upon those logos, those words from the Lord.

During Lent the Lord calls us to fine tune our prayer life.  Many years ago the Lord gave me instruction as I prepared to minister through prayer.  His words of wisdom continue to be important. The Lord told me, “Prayer is the personal conversation with Me—whether alone or with a group.  If you were to ask your natural father for a favor, would you not ask for a specific?  –Such as to stay out late or to borrow the car.  Does this not seem acceptable to your understanding?  Try to think of how you ask others for favor.  Should you not be as gracious to your heavenly Father?  Secondly, remember that I want goodness for you.  Do not ask for anything that has darkness attached to it.  I will not grant this favor.  I will protect you from your own desires.  Third, ask in faith.  I Am is all powerful and my power is unlimited.  Do not limit Me.  Fourth, hearts must be open to my Grace.  When barriers exist, your love, and the lovers of Me, can join together, band together, to penetrate the barriers.  This is more difficult and so my Holy Spirit showers you with special gifts of grace – knowledge, wisdom, faith, and so on.  Use them.  As you pray, the words carry an authority.  In the name of Jesus, you can do the many things He has commanded to You.”

The Lord says, “The everlasting joy of the kingdom of God can be felt on earth as it is in heaven.  The joy of the kingdom is based on the freedom to love and to be loved in total awareness.  Truly this is the base of joy.  The darkness seeks to cover love –to hide it by deceitfulness and lies.  As one is bidden to hide love for another so as to limit vulnerability, the failure to ‘feel’ love causes all sorts of issues.  At times the children cannot love their children, they cannot love their families, because of the darkness of sin in their lives, but God the Father always loves the children and the family, each and every one.  Love with all your heart, all your soul, all you mind, and love others as yourself.”   The Lord says, “I Am the Alpha and the Omega – the beginning and the end.  All who come to me will find truth and the truth will set them free.  The gorgeous sunset, the imperial sunrise, the majesty of the ocean, the infinity of the night sky – all these pale beside the love I have for you, each of you.  You are more delightful to me than any of these my creations.  Know this, dearest children, next time you begin to feel ‘worthless’ or ‘unloved’.  The truth shall set you free.

The Lord told me, “My Child, the energy of the day is a gift; a choice in spending it is given to each of my children each day.  Even those who have few choices have a choice.  The problem arises when several choices seem to be good—how do we decide?  Part of the ribbon of life is that I have provided good choices.  Do not think that all choices are black and white, good or bad.  Do not judge yourself or others in every choice that is made.  Are some choices better than others?  Yes, like the choices Mary and Martha[i] took.  But know this, I love both my daughters for who they were.  When I choose a servant to do my work in a special way, I will provide all the grace they need to not fail, but the choice to serve Me is their decision.  If they say ‘no’ that is not bad.  Because they still can love and honor Me in their life’s work.  And so, I will love you whether you lay down your life for my lambs or not.  I will love you because you are you, just as I love each member of your family. What I ask of you, no matter what, is that you love them, too, as you love Me.

The Lord says to us, “My Child, the days of tomorrow are wrapped from your view.  The days of yesterday fade like the dew.  It is today that I have given to you.  My child, seek the grace and the joy of the day—for this is the day the Lord has made!  I am giving your generation a day like none have received before.  It is uniquely designed for you and for this moment in history.  Open your heart to my fullness!  My Spirit descends upon you with gifts of untold wealth in power.  Seek the face of Jesus in all that you do, say and see.  Know that I Am is with you to the ends of the earth and beyond.  Call upon the name of Jesus and your prayers will be heard.

The Lord says, “My child, dear daughter, the Father’s love encases the hearts of the children.  Break through the barriers.  Reach into the thorns and open their hearts to Me and they shall be free indeed.  Truth shall set them free.  My Love penetrating their hearts shall complete in their being what was lacking.  My grace shall heal and console the weary heart.  My grace will then begin to teach and lead and send the children out to do my will.  My love I give you.  My peace I bestow on you.  Be in Me as I am in you.   Praise be to the Father and the Son and the Holy One, the Spirit of God.
