Welcome to Truth of the Spirit. I am your host, Patti Brunner. Today is day 38 of “Daily Meditations for Lent”. We gathered personal revelations for you especially those given on Fridays of the 5th week of Lent for you to discern and to help you grow “in closeness to the Lord through truth, repentance, and the word of God moving into fullness within your heart.”
One Friday of the 5th week of Lent I heard the priest on EWTN giving the homily say, “Listen to the bell! It is like a teacher hitting the bell on his desk saying, “OK the preparation is over, you have had your tests and it is time to move on – to the new material. It is more advanced than what you have been studying and receiving.” He went on to explain that this last week of Lent gives us time for last minute preparation.
On Friday of the 5th week Lent I heard the Lord say to us, “Greet your friends with a holy kiss. Know that I love you and gather you to celebrate the goodness of the Lord. Remember the Jubilee blessings wipe away all debt. They are a fresh start without “baggage” so thus shall the anointing touch those who step forward in love at this time in the progress of world events. Fear not. I have prepared the people I have called. I have prepared and equipped them with all that is “necessary” and “more abundantly” to fulfill my promises. Soon and very soon all the preparation will be evident as the world steps into my kingdom by ‘missing’, by ‘skipping’ the step of the call of darkness. Fear not.
“Specifically: Fear not, my Children, you are chosen as an oasis to provide comfort and rescue for those in need. This shall be done supernaturally not by the works of “man”. Only your cooperation with the Will and Works of the Lord shall be required of you.
“Specifically—expect a final attack by the enemy who will seek to usurp your power and my plan—do not worry, he shall fail and you shall withstand the final attack. Take joy in your ability to recognize his tactics and in the greatness of your Lord, God, who is Lord of Lords and King of Kings above all on earth and of heaven and all spirits, princes, and principalities of darkness. Rejoice! Rejoice! This is the day the Lord claims victory, again, for the Cross, for the Christ, for the Holy Spirit, within mankind. Glory! Halleluiah!
“Specifically: Enjoy your fellowship. Pray for discernment. Pray for peace. Pray for Israel. Pray for a quick resolution of the judgment against the sin of your generation—so that it not continues to taint future generations but that they might turn back to the Lord and receive the fullness of Abraham’s blessings.”
On Friday of the 5th week of Lent, the day after a healing mass with many signs and wonders, I heard the Lord say this, “In times of weakness remember the strength of my anointing. Do not let careless thoughts undermine what you know to be Truth. Just as the truth sets you free it also provides a base, a foundation to build my Church upon.” The Lord gave me a vision of an erupting volcano, He gave me this explanation, “As the steam vents, you receive a ‘hint’ of the power that lies beneath. The graces bestowed last night and other times are but a small venting of the true power and grace that awaits beyond the constraints of this world. Continue to accept these small amounts of grace—get used to the ‘heat’, the power. Learn to use these small amounts. I will release more. I will release my Grace in quantities never before witnessed in your age. And the Grace will bring my people home.”
We love to hear such encouraging words yet another Friday of the fifth week of Lent I was suffering with the pain of a broken foot. I asked the Lord, “How did your blessed saints do it? Suffer and pray. I can understand how the Israelites felt. How often have I forgotten your goodness? How often have I grumbled? Forgive me Lord. I trust you. We you heal me? Please! I know you can heal me completely this moment. I surrender to your will for me.” The Lord gave me this answer to my request, “My child, the discomfort you feel is minor to the torment of hell. Remember that when you reach out to my children who are on a path to destruction and everlasting torment. Each path lays out choices. Listen for truth. The truth sets free the lost, the desperate, the sinner.” Then the Lord told me, “Worry not about your foot. In my timing it shall be healed completely.” The Lord’s timing seemed very slow. I am sure was the source of many blessings; nonetheless, eventually the healing was complete.
The next year on Friday of the 5th week of Lent the Lord was preparing me to help give a youth retreat with Msgr. James Mancini and to give my testimony of spiritual conversion by the power of the Holy Spirit to them. The Lord said, “For the youth, they have been given a great opportunity to know me as they listen. Speak clearly and plainly. They know not my Spirit yet I call to them. The threats of the enemy upon their lives have not yet been severe but, as will most, they shall be tested, to be ‘proven’ by the fire. Continue to seek my face in your quiet moments. I Am here, always waiting for you. The kingdom has presented many possibilities for you to share the Word of the Lord. Do not fret; it shall be accomplished. The desert is in bloom. Say this about yourself, boldly: your gifts of the Spirit as you read them in Scripture (1 Corinthians 12) and then tell a little how each gift has manifested. Encourage them to do the same as they allow the Holy Spirit to confirm their faith. Explain hard times and the comfort and consolation of the Lord (and) the play of the enemy to destroy their generation. (The youth are) called by God—not just for priests and sisters—all who are confirmed are the “army” of Christ, called to serve, defend and honor God. Finish with “empowerment”; explain by scripture what a common man can accomplish—Gideon, Peter, Paul, Timothy—when called by God for his purposes.”
Praise be to the Lord! You have been listening to Truth of the Spirit for Friday of the 5th week of Lent. This Lent, the Lord has more to tell us about our calling to the Kingdom of God. Listen to Him! Remember: “With the Lord there is mercy and fullness of redemption.[i]” Easter is coming! “Prepare for it, ready your heart.” The transcript of this episode is available at PatriarchMinistries.com/308. Come back tomorrow for more. With the Holy Spirit there’s always more. Amen.
