For many years, we have taken the opportunity of the change in calendar years to seek the face of the Lord to consecrate the upcoming year to His will for us. As we pray and ask the Lord what He wants of us, there have been many years that He has promised blessings. An ever-faithful God, we have truly been blessed in so many ways! Some years the Lord has challenged us to step out in new ministries; some years the Lord has directed us to keep going on the same path.
You are listening to Truth of the Spirit. I am your host, Patti Brunner. Today I want to share my experiences with Consecrating Time and Space to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and share some Words from the Lord that are private revelation.
Like walking through a door-way there are many opportunities as we step forward. In Psalm 24 we are encouraged to seek the face of the God even though only one whose hands are sinless, whose heart is clean, who desires not what is vain can ascend the mountain of the Lord. We bow before our God in humility as we await the one who can stand in his holy place, who can go up to the mountain of Yahweh. Jesus Christ is that person! Through His death and resurrection, through the infilling of our heart with the Holy Spirit through Baptism, we are one with Christ and ascend the mountain with Him. We turn and praise, “Gates, lift high your heads, the king of glory shall enter!” NJB The Lord is calling each of us to open the gates of our hearts to allow the Lord, the King of Glory to enter.
When my family consecrated our home to the Sacred Heart of Jesus it was the night before we left for a pilgrimage to the Holy Land. We had previously attended a Sacred Heart Mission presented by Gloria Anson and Fr. Gaffney in a neighboring town. We signed up to have our home consecrated without any knowledge of what would take place.
The Mission spoke of the ‘Civilization of Love’. I later realized that this was a teaching brought to the attention of the Church by Pope John Paul II. Gloria Anson had been called by God to spread the word by traveling around to parishes and suggested that displaying the image of the Sacred Heart could bring healing and growth of faith within the family. Since we were not members of the parish in the neighboring town we were placed at the bottom of the list. Many months later we received the call from a couple we had met to set up a series of meetings with them to learn about the consecration and to prepare for it. We spent the next few weeks praying through the intercession of Mary as we purchased pictures of both the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary and designing a sacred place to set them in our home. We prayed as a family each day the prayers given to us for preparation. During the Enthronement as we walked through our house with the picture, a bible, a candle, and holy water, I remember it was a mess from our packing for our trip. We didn’t dare cancel our Consecration—we had spent months waiting for our turn.
It was a little sad to leave the Sacred Heart so soon the next day yet we felt safe for our home to be in such good hands. We found out later that most people make a party out of the Consecration. We were just happy that members of our family showed up. We discovered that we were the first members of our parish to enthrone our home with the Sacred Heart of Jesus. Later on, our parish invited Gloria Anson and Father Gaffney to give a Sacred Heart mission in our town, and lots of people came and were touched by their words and the presence of the Lord. Enthronement teams were set up and the consecration of homes to the Sacred Heart became like a wildfire spreading throughout our parish.
Since then we also enthroned our ministry house that the Lord encouraged us to open. It took place twelve years later.
Placing the blessed picture of the image of Jesus in a prominent place in our home, and at the Patriarch House, is a constant reminder that the presence of Jesus is with us always. During the days of isolation during the initial outbreak of Covid-19 our home became our refuge and our place of worship as churches were ordered closed by our bishop in accordance with public health safety. As we participated in Masses broadcasted from around the world, the image of the Sacred Heart gave us comfort and a connection to the greater community of believers. Who would have thought 23 years earlier that the shrine to the Sacred Heart would be so important to our peace. The artwork is not spectacular but the consecration of our home is!
Over the years we have also shared our hearts with consecration to Mary, to Joseph, to Divine Mercy. These prayer commitments call us to make present their influence in our lives.
That brings me back to the yearly renewal of consecrating my year, each moment of each day to the Lord as a surrender to His Will for me. As I look back over the last twenty five years I recognize God’s hand on my shoulder. I recognize the breath of the Holy Spirit guiding me to move forward. Sometimes far beyond my own capabilities and certainly in ways that were only possible by His grace.
His Grace! How beautiful is life lived by His Grace!
As we surrender to His Will, the Lord calls us to both the great and the small. He provides the grace to tackle the highest mountain as if riding on a jet ski. He provides the grace to accept the small. His humility teaches us the worthiness of small acts of faith done with great love and obedience.
What shall this year bring forward in your own life? Will it be huge? Will it be so small that if you are not paying attention you might miss it? Only God knows! Yet, if you will seek His face and listen, the Lord will reveal it to you. He will unleash within you the desire of His Will and Plan that is uniquely for you.
At the end of last year, I received this word from the Lord: “My child, the journey of life is unique for each of my children and the children of the world. Use the scriptures as a ‘road map’ and use your journal entries to explain the facets, the points of interest, and the necessary rest stops along the way where you pause for nourishment or to ‘fill the tank’ or to replace what has broken. Remember your Guardian Angel travels this road with you. There are many crossroads that can either be a distraction or a super highway that makes the journey easier. At times you will not travel in comfort.
These times allow you to remove the burdens of sinful habits, hurtful memories, and wrong thinking in order to purify and better prepare. Even when the journey involves suffering, this can provide a clearance of the road’s obstacles.”
On January 1 of 2021 the Lord told me, “You have much more to share on your podcasts. Whether short or long, the nuggets of truth that you speak are important as the world begins to turn away from darkness and evil.
Say this to my children: Today is an exciting time to live. Our generation is about to experience the fullness of faith that has been dormant as evil was allowed to test those who came before us and who tests our children even as we speak. Seek and ye shall find.
There is a day coming, says the Lord, and indeed the day is upon you, that the Holy Spirit shall emblaze the earth with a spiritual awakening. Just as in the natural one sees smoke and shouts, “Fire, Fire!” so shall the people of God, who are awake, shall “smell” the burning embers of the fire of God—a pleasing aroma sweeter than incense, more subtle than roses, and more fresh than a pine forest or cut cedar. As this ‘smell’ penetrates the hearts of the faithful and they take note of it to those who are asleep, they shall awaken and “smell” it also. “Fire, Fire!” shall be the call of this generation. The fire of love shall consume the dross, the fear, the decay. The fire of power shall consume infirmity and lack. The power and fire of the Word of God shall free those held captive by sin and despair as repentance enters their hearts and the shackles fall apart and disintegrate—no more to lead them in addictions of any kind. The call of “Fire! Fire!” will not empty the church but will cause others to run towards it and enter in to share the wondrous fire of the Lord! People will set aside the things that seemed so important in the past that were, in truth, vain and frivolous, and even decadent. Reach out and embrace your sisters and brothers to come into the Presence of the Fire of God.
The fire of Pentecost has been waiting to be stirred. The embers have passed from generation to generation not unlike the torch that is passed for the great jubilee and even the secular Olympic torch that runs from city to city. So shall the fire of the Lord begin to spread. And like the wind that carries burning embers among the treetops to ignite new areas so shall the breath of God blow his fire from town to town, country to country. Share this Word so that the people will watch for it and recognize the meaning of the “smell”. This is the day the Lord has made.
The final day of darkness is near at hand; the captives of the dungeons shall see the dawn of light and be glad. Blessed be the Name of the Lord God forever. Jesus Christ is Lord over all the earth and heaven beyond.
Dear Listener, we are waiting in joyful anticipation for the fulfillment of that Word. The Lord is always true to His Word. In scripture the people waited hundreds of years for the fulfillment of the promises God gave to Isaiah. The Lord also gives us promises that are quickly fulfilled, especially when He directs us to follow His Will. Truth of the Spirit continues to seek God as we prepare our weekly podcasts for you. We recall what the Lord told us on January 1 2020: My Child, the ‘disconnect’ of today’s society did not happen overnight yet truth covered by the effect of sin blocks the graces needed to overcome as a nation. When generations are bogged down by the lack of truth, the need for conversion aka revival is more visible to those who live in the Truth and Light of Christ. Fear not, the Light of Christ will never fade nor disappear even though the days become difficult. I Am is always near. The power of the One True God is supreme and the powers of darkness are minimal indeed. The power given to man makes jealous those rebellious angels of eternal darkness and in their vile jealousy they seek the ruin of the holy attributes of man and family which are so wonderfully witnessed by the Holy Family as described in scripture at Bethlehem.
Each person has a tremendous gift of freewill. Prayers spoken to God through freewill are thus life changing events and can affect the ‘order’ of the consequences of the universal actions of others. Mother Mary’s advice is “Pray, pray, pray!” Prayer can seem to be a ‘silly’ thing by those who do not know nor even acknowledge their Creator. Yet prayer has ended wars, saved lives, and brought redeeming grace to those who have been lost. This is my Word for you to share this season,” the Lord says: Pray! Some refuse to pray saying they do not know how to pray. They even search for the ‘perfect prayer’. I Am, who gave voice and thought to even the youngest of children, hear their cries. Why would I not hear every person as they turn to Me? The lost soul who can only cry out ‘Jesus!” or “Help me, Lord!’ is as eloquent as the most learned scholar or prayerful cloistered monk. When a heart turns to Me in a free choice it is given my full attention and adequate grace is my response to lead them from darkness. I generally will place into motion other opportunities for them to find the sheepgate to return to the safety of the Good Shepherd.
As you continue to search for wisdom for Patriarch Ministries and Patriarch House, I will lead you. Certainly for beginning a new season as you begin this decade of your marriage and of your ministries. Fear not. You will not fail to give Glory to God nor to serve your brothers and sisters in Christ to lead them along the pathways of justice and my righteousness. The Truth will be quite apparent when it is necessary for you to see the pathway clearly. Be forgiving towards the mistakes and weakness and failings of those around you and of your own. My forgiveness is an example to follow. “Father, forgive them; they know not what they do.”
In January 2011, as we were waiting for the Lord’s guidance for a large location change—that was fulfilled when we opened Patriarch House in October 2011, the Lord gave me this message: “Patti, dearest daughter, your heart is troubled with many things. Only one is necessary: Know that Jesus is Lord, come down from heaven, made manifest through the Holy Spirit, true God true man. As you accept this truth know that all things are possible. As you continue to reach out to those in need, know that there are many who are impoverished in spirit. To these I send you. Reach forward in Word in truth to share the word of the Lord. If you go on your own, you shall fail. Only through the power of God, the intercession of your Savior and the graces of the Holy Spirit poured out can you even attempt this undertaking. Fear not. It shall delight you to follow my command. I shall envelop you in my grace. Fear not! My child, when the wind blows you see its effect—not the wind itself. You shall be my ‘effect’. I shall breathe upon my people and you shall be my breath. Listen and obey. Speak when I say speak. Act, move when I say to move. Follow the path now set for you. For now—wait, pray, love. Intercede for your friends. Wait patiently, the time will be come soon enough. Continue the course for now. Soon enough the wind will change and the rudder will guide you to uncharted waters. Fear not. I know exactly where you shall go. I am the Light of the World. My “shadow” shines brightly to the path for you.
Do you agree with me, dear Listeners, that this podcast which began in 2018, is a fulfillment of the promise of uncharted waters? I thank the Lord for setting me on the path that has allowed me to share with you what He has given to me for you. And to speak when He says to speak!
As I looked through my journals after the Lord instructed me today, to share with you about the Enthronement of the Sacred Heart in our home back in 1999, I found this interesting Word from Him. It is a word that I received on the Feast of the Sacred Heart in 1998. The Lord said, “Sweet one, sweet child, I call to you dearly today. Give thanks; it is good that you have done your Father’s will. This makes a difference in your community and thus the world is better for it. Small things are important things in the Lord. … There is a delicious aroma today. It is a sweetness of the Lord in the hearts of his people. Do not think you’re falling behind. You’re exactly where I want you. As I ask of you to do my work, you will be ready to do it. Continue to study my word and my Way. Study My law and My Word. The Word is truth. The laws of men are set not in stone but in tablets so that they may change as man changes. The least of My followers can hear the law and learn it. But it is the Law written on the hearts of My people that truly bring about a law abiding nation. The letter of the law should never supersede the heart of the law. My servants have prepared studies for you. I will lead you to it.
The next morning the Lord said this to me: “Sweet Child, I fill the air with the aroma of my love. Its sweetness awaits for all those who choose to love me. There is plenty of time to learn and show your love to others. All it takes is a day. All the world could be conquered in a day if my people willed it to be so. But, alas, my people drift away from me. They drift into the sea and are lost. Send out your boats for them. Go to them. Risk your life. By losing your life, you will save it. By giving away, you will store up. By trying, you will accomplish, you will conquer. There is no feat too small or too large in the Lord; my way can be taken by all of mankind. Bring together my people in joy for songs of praise. Dance before the Lord with all your heart and body. This grace will flow to you, through you to others.”
During that first Sacred Heart Mission the Lord said something to me that continues to guide me to this day: My child, continue to listen with your heart. My Word is always with you inside your heart guiding you on the Way. Continue to look at my people with compassion. Continue to lead as you follow Me. Speak as you are spoken to. Witness as I have provided witness to you. Heal as I have healed. Love as I have loved. Forgive as I forgave. Love as I have loved. Praise my Father in heaven as I have, it is right to give him thanks and praise!
