As I prayed for you, I heard the Lord say this: “So many times, the children think they are lost because they have wandered away, but where can they run from my love—I am always there with them—only sin or shame causes them to look away. I pick up my children and hold them close to my bosom. Some, who have a hardened shell about them, feel nothing but I Am with them always. My will is for their hearts to be open to me. Each has their own will—Choose Me! My people, choose life! Instead of death and darkness, fear and hatred! Choose Me!”
Welcome to Truth of the Spirit. I am your host Patti Brunner. In “Words from the Lord: Choose Me!” we continue our series with Part 5 to share personal revelation with you. This episode is filled with the message to turn toward the Lord. We encourage you to discern them according to the teachings of the Catholic Church.
“My child, there are many things to tell my people. But what would they listen to? They search out the miraculous, the mystical. My children are not aware of the miracle that takes place during each celebration of the Eucharist. They miss the point of coming together in worship to be fed My Body and continuing to be My Body as they go out into the world instead of going about their own business. The kingdom is greatly delayed due to the selfishness of such.
“They keep Me all to themselves instead of bringing the kingdom to the ends of the earth. My children who do this have not allowed my Spirit to guide their heart but have put suffocating binds on my love. They choose to do the way of the world when it suits them as they leave my house. Some did not accept the gifts that were freely given and so now they know not how to act. In my Great Mercy I forgive them for their ignorance because they are faithful. But blessed is the obedient servant who hears and accepts my word into their heart and thus reaches out to others and shares the wonderful gifts, the grace, the love I have showered upon them.”
The Lord told me, “Continue to instruct the ignorant. Repeat the lessons taught by Jesus–Repent; the kingdom is come.[i] Love the Lord your God and others as yourself. The kingdom will spread to the ends of the earth as men’s hearts are filled and overflow to the others—My reflected power gives the weak signs and wonders but many reject them just as in times of old. Bring the faithful close so that they may support one another and fight the invisible of the earth who spreads the fear into the hearts of men. My love will see you through any trial. My love is enough for you.
“Tell the children I love them. I repeat this message over and over for they seem to forget. I call all my children. Many do not know to listen and many turn away from Me, away from my voice. My child, realize that my Way is narrow and at times difficult. But know that I am always there with you and if you choose to follow the will of the Father, our steps guide you each step you take.”
The Lord says, “Each day that goes by loses someone to the kingdom. My people have wasted the grace I send them because they have wrapped themselves in a cocoon that allows no penetration of my love. They seek happiness in places that true love cannot exist, where sin and degradation are the order of the day. But if they would but turn to Me for a little while I would show them that their heart’s desire is Me. The people have forgotten our true love. The people search for satisfaction from the material world and some never realize that it is fleeting joy at best until it is too late. “Deliver us from evil”[ii] is on their lips but they know not that they are standing in the lap of evil. They embrace it and chase after it trying to find meaning in their desolate lives. My children, my servants, spread the Good News of the kingdom. It is in Christ Jesus that they will be finally set free from evil and carried into the kingdom in the loving arms of my Son Jesus.
“The mighty works of the Lord set an example for all to follow. The mighty works of the Lord show the world who has the power of the heavens. The mighty works of the Lord favor the faithful and the obedient. Call upon the Lord to enter the hearts of the children. Call upon the Lord to bring the kingdom to the earth. Call upon the Lord to forgive as you have forgiven[iii] and His Mercy will abound forever and his Mercy will change lives and His Mercy will bring the children out of bondage and His Mercy will set the children free of evil’s cords. And His Mercy and compassion will bring a joy into the hearts of the people as his love enters their hearts and souls and his love purifies and wipes dry all the tears of rejection and pain and sorrow. His love salves the broken heart. His love heals the wounded heart. His heart is transplanted into the ‘heartless’ of the past and brings them into His kingdom where they rest in His bosom for life everlasting!
“See the message hidden in plain sight for you. The kingdom is now! The kingdom is offered to my chosen people,” says the Lord, “and if they accept they are united, in Me is such a powerful union that lives of all are changed. Evil is conquered in proportion to the love shared. My sacrifice provided salvation to all but my love brings the kingdom to the people. And that kingdom begins with the day of trust founded and rooted in obedience. My love for the people is offered always but is not magnified until it is accepted then reflected. Sweet child, my children need to soak in my love due to their many ills and sorrows—but a time will come when every tear will be wiped dry and every pain relieved and every stumbling block made low.”
The Lord said, “My child, bring the children to listen to my word. I call them to Me to hear of my love for them. I call them to Me to show them the path of my kingdom. I call them to Me to heal all their wounds and to dispel all darkness. Fear and doubt keep them from Me. The evil one has sown his weeds for so long he has taken over the garden with them but if my people will begin to chop around their hearts and purify the surroundings in my sacrament of reconciliation the choking weeds will part and a cleansing breath can be taken. Then my grace will begin a cultivation of my love within their hearts and soon the blooms, the flowers of my love will grace their gardens of their lives once again. Continue to be nourished by my body. Even when the weeds are towering if you are richly fed you will survive until the harvesting. Do not despair.
“The Gardener will come to your aid and help you.” The Lord says, “I send Him to your side daily to watch over you and to get you to face the sun. But each must look to the left and the right and choose the company they are with. It is not I who nourishes the weeds but the people. They give of themselves to feed the very thing that destroys them. The people have been taught but their ears did not listen. The people have been shown, but their eyes do not see.”
The Lord said, “I sent my Son to show each the way of my kingdom but they look away and toward the ease of darkness where no growth is expected and rest rather than work is expected.” The Lord said, “What a lazy people some have become. Yet they chase their tails in busyness trying to find happiness. Lead the people back into the light. For there my grace will make them whole and healthy. There my grace will transform them into a beauty untold, radiant with my love, in a full blossom that never fades throughout all eternity.”
The Lord said, “My child, it delights Me to share my words with you. Don’t let the evil one steal anything from you. You know my voice as I know you. Each time I speak you know that only words of love are spoken from the one who acclaims ‘Jesus is Lord!’[iv] My son is placed before you always not only as your king and ruler but also as your friend and teacher. Don’t ever let a barrier of fear or doubt come between us. Keep your knowledge of my love and power before you always and thus we will not be parted.
“My child, I am always with you, and I give whenever you ask. My children are gathered beneath my shadow as chicks under the wing.[v] Today, continue to seek my presence not just in the Eucharist and the Word but in people. It is more difficult to do this unless an effort is made to see my heart, my love, in all. Each has their own will—Choose Me! My people, choose life! Instead of death and darkness, fear and hatred!”
The Lord says, “What do you call upon when you are in need? Your God! And what do the people call upon when there is no need? Themselves! Now, do you see why I allow them to have needs? Many are saved through tribulation. But if they would turn their lives to me always then the kingdom would come into their lives and happiness in the Lord would send forth my praise day and night.
“Turn to Me, turn and be saved, says the Lord.[vi] Tell the people I love them but that they must respond to that love and accept their salvation. I led the people away from bondage into the desert but many did not accept Me as their God but chose to rely on golden images made by their own hands. Thus, too, many rely on themselves and their own actions for their salvation without knowing the Father by knowing the Son. Help the people to know Me and my kingdom. The Lord Jesus Christ should be the center of the lives of the people instead of an afterthought.
“Good people will gather together in the valley but many have eyes but do not see the whole picture. They have blinders and see only a narrow focus of my love for them. Remove the blinders – allow them to experience the fullness of my love. They have limited Me in their hearts and in their lives. The horizon of my love is broad indeed. The beauty of the lingering sunset pales to the beauty of my love acting in their lives. Turn to Me, My People – turn to the fullness of life, turn to the Glory of the Father present in your lives. –Turn away from sinful things, turn away from hate, anger, jealousy, loss of inheritance –for you are inheriting a kingdom much grander than any farm on this earth. My kingdom is yours if only you turn your hearts to Me in love and ask to share in it and to share it with others.
