Day 25. Truth of the Spirit with Patti Brunner presents Daily Meditations for Lent. Welcome to Truth of the Spirit. I am Patti Brunner. This is day 25 of “Daily Meditations for Lent” on Saturday of week 3. We will share personal revelations given during Lent for you to discern and other contemplations to help you grow “in closeness to the Lord through truth, repentance, and the word of God moving into fullness within your heart.”
As we finish the 3rd Week of Lent what do you seek? The Lord says, “Do not worry, My child. I do not speak to you to cause you worry. I speak to teach you of the Kingdom and to let you know My Love for you. It does not pass away just because you have doubts in what to do or say. My words will always guide you to truth. When you doubt or feel this way—spend time in my Word. Let the world drift away – cleanse it from your spirit. What others say and think does not change the truth. If they question –lead them to the righteous path. Turn not away in weakness but call upon My Spirit” says the Lord, “to strengthen you. I can understand your wanting to share with another but it may not be possible. Each of my children are unique and have different needs and hearts.” The Lord says, “Fear clouds judgement and vision. Each one’s freewill affects the overall picture—especially your own.”
On a Saturday of the 3rd week of Lent the Lord said, “Continue to pray for the youth, their families and friends, for their advisors and teachers. Protect them from those who would steal the gift of the Lord – either intentionally or by the inadvertent speech of the unbeliever.”
The Lord said, “Recall that youth live very much in the now. As you reveal the power in the Spirit and in the gifts of the Spirit, also remind them how much I love them.” The Lord said, “The gifts of the Spirit are a sign of that love made manifest. As they open their hearts to love using these gifts they will find a depth in their relationship with Me. Remind them how special their generation is to have the grace and the call to the fullness of the Spirit. Open their eyes beyond the daily routine of life to the supernatural call on their lives. The enemy longs for them to fritter away their time on self—on entertainment and frivolous communication instead of communicating God’s love. They can choose.” The Lord said, “Tell them how you chose—and how you delayed your choice due to fear.”
Are you afraid to share your faith with others for fear of rejection or fear of offending others? Can you exchange that fear for the beatitude of fear of God that others might not spend eternity with God because you failed to communicate God’s love to them when God has sent you to them? In 2 Timothy, Chapter 1, Paul wrote, “for God did not give us a spirit of timidity but a spirit of power and love and self-control.” Let me repeat that, God gave us a spirit of power, and love and self-control! Are you still having self-control issues this Lent?
On Saturday of the 3rd week of Lent the Lord said, “I have given you many things. I have given you life, hope, grace and freedom for pursuit of happiness. As you reach out to share what I have given you, it continues to grow and multiply. Only the dormant heart does not increase. Yet remaining dormant can cause starvation, eventually. Like the Dead Sea,” the Lord says, “when nothing goes out, the stagnant water ceases to give life and thus cannot sustain life. My grace is abundantly received by the supple heart made so by constantly pouring over that which has been given.”
On a Saturday of the 3rd week of Lent the Lord said, “Whenever you send a message of hope in sympathy, it is drunk fully by those who thirst, who are in dire need of the refreshing word of the Lord. When the attachment to life and to the living is tested through the breaking of the bond held by the living, it is only by looking into eternity that comfort can be found. How blessed they are to be sure of the salvation of a loved one’s soul through the grace of their Savior Jesus Christ.”
This Lent the Lord has more to tell us about Life in the Spirit. This is Day 25. We invite you to listen each day for words from the Lord and Daily Meditations for Lent. Remember: “The Kingdom of God is at hand: repent, and believe in the Gospel.” “Prepare for it, ready your heart.” The transcript of this episode is available at PatriarchMinistries.com/295. Come back tomorrow for more. With the Holy Spirit there’s always more. Amen.
