Transcript of Day 9
Welcome to Truth of the Spirit. I am your host Patti Brunner. This is day 9 of our series “Daily Meditations for Lent – Lenten Logos, it’s the Thursday of the first week of Lent. Each day during Lent we will share personal revelation for you to discern and meditation from those logos, those words from the Lord.
If you are like me, you have placed many petitions for others at the Lord’s feet. We also ask for ourselves. One morning during Lent my own family needs were thick in my heart and so I lifted these before the Lord, asking favor. I knew that in these areas I could only rely on Him. I have no control over my family but I have my love for them and I have my own desire for them. I asked the Lord to look not away from me in my selfish wants but bless me by blessing my family! Are you ever reluctant to pray for yourself and your own desires? Here is how the Lord responded. “My child, the knots in your heart – the concern for self is built on the concern for others. This is the stone of the Kingdom. How rough or how smooth the stone will come from the weight of the needs of others placed before your own. As I created man, I gave each an instinct for survival. In the Kingdom you begin to realize that your own survival depends on others. As others are built up you also are made strong. Sin and weakness begets sin and destruction. My child, I love you. Continue to give Me all your dreams and desires. Do not hold back because you think that you are ‘greedy’. I look into the heart. I know the difference between self-centeredness and the heart that is centered on Jesus and the Kingdom of God. Look not upon the innocence of others and be unprepared to meet the darkness in the hearts of the troubled.” I didn’t understand this last statement, so the Lord said more. “Dearest Patti, you have not yet encountered dark evil in the soul of man. Put on your garment of praise. I will protect you. I have delivered you from evil but prepare yourself for the meeting. Do not fear. Do not run away. Put on the armor of God and know that I am God.” Since that time I have spent time learning more about the armor of God. Truth of the Spirit has several episodes and a playlist for training for you about the Armor of God.[i] We’ll put it in our information below.
Another time I heard the Lord say, “Dearest child, fear not the call upon your life to seek the face of the Lord. For, I am humble of heart and a friend to sinners. I have called you to my side not for chastisement but for encouragement and nourishment. I have come upon the earth to restore you to the heavenly kingdom. I have come to give freedom to the captives—even those who have created their own prison and those who are oblivious to the fact that they are not free in their lives. I come to touch the hearts of the faithful to reach out to all those in need. There are many in need. The Father’s love calls out to them, but they do not respond. Brokenness, pain, sorrow have kept their hearts closed.
“Seek ye first the kingdom of God. To this end you should live your life. Always weigh the consequences, the effect upon others when you make your daily decisions and especially the difficult and ‘important’ decisions. My child, fear not the terror of the night.” The Lord says, “I have brought the day to all eternity. My Light is given to all. The world has not yet seen the fullness of the glory of the Lord. Bring my glory to the people. I choose this generation to open the eye of the blind and the ears of the deaf. By the stripes of Jesus you are healed. It is time for truth to be known. It has been hidden from the hearts of man in fear and in confusion. I am not the God of chaos but the God who creates order and overcomes the chaos brought about by sin.
“Seek ye first the kingdom of God and all these things shall be given unto you. What things? Joy, peace, love, wealth, power, riches in relationship, and health according to the perfection of creation before the taint of the first sin. Jesus bore the sins of all and has redeemed you from them. Be free in the Word of the Lord. Be free in the Joy of the Lord. Know the Truth, the Word, the Light and you shall be healed, you shall enter my glory, you shall know the Kingdom of God. It shall be your home forever.”
The Lord said, “My child, the unforeseen occurrences of the day, the twist and turns of ‘fate’ cause comradery among the ‘trenches’. Not that misery loves company but that once you have ‘walked a mile in someone’s shoes’ your own understanding give clarity and compassion. It is good to pray for those who struggle in the same ways you yourself have struggled especially when your trust for the Lord brings positive joy in the Lord’s ability to act upon your request. The hope of the nation is for God’s rule to overcome evil and destruction of body and soul.
I heard the Lord say this, “Now, to the matter at hand: Why have I called you to Me this time and this place? I desire a wholeness for you. In the corporate I will reveal my Truth to you. As individuals you would not be able to withstand it. It is so ‘incredible’ that it transcends reason and understanding. Even so, you may turn to each other and say, “Is this real? Is this really happening?” Adequate witness confirms truth. I also desire your understanding of the Body of Christ in my Kingdom. What is done for one is done for all. Not all will receive the same revelation of truth – I give what the heart can bear without being utterly destroyed – but I give Perfection. As each shares the truth you will see the connection. This truth will then stay with you. As you travel and minister and go about your daily requirements of the world, this truth will sustain you in all things. You may then call upon the manifestation of the truth as it is revealed to you now and apply it to the future situation. The Kingdom is then come on earth as it is in heaven. Be not afraid. Guard the truth well and deep within your hearts.
